2008 WAMI nominated “Bluegrass Band of the Year” Liberty Bluegrass Band is dedicated to traditional Bluegrass music. No electric instruments, just wood, metal, strings, and a lot of heart going into every song. Great fun for the entire family!
Liberty Bluegrass Band was formed in early 2006 to provide an outlet for four Bluegrass fanatics to express our love for this music. Lead and harmony vocals set this group apart from the field. We love to entertain and it shows on stage.
Rick Lewis provides smooth, strong and soaring vocals. Rick is one of the best Bluegrass lead singers in Wisconsin. James Brocksmith picks the Scruggs style 5-string banjo. Eric Langford plays mandolin and Bluegrass fiddle. Eric plays an old time, haunting style fiddle. Jeff Couillard plays the all-important foundation to any Bluegrass band, the upright bass.
